Case Studies
The editors of information ethics have, over the years, collected a corpus of practical examples of behaviour in which questions of ethics or ethical dilemmas are experienced. Some of these form the basis of the case studies presented in this section. These examples are intended to illustrate CILIP's Ethical Principles and Code of Professional Practice.
| Each Case Study in this section is fictitious, but informed by a genuine situation in which the infopro (or the information user or creator) can relate to the Ethical Principles or Code. The editors have 'normalised' each Case Study so as to present them in a consistent manner. Ethical issues are highlighted, and links take the reader to those parts of the Ethical Principles or Code which apply. |

In the meantime, please submit comments here.) |
